SAN LUIS POTOSI - SECOND STOP IN MEXICAN TOUR/SEGUNDA PARADA EN EL TOUR MEXICANO

To San Luis Potosi I was invited by Eleno Guzmán Gutiérrez - Subdirector de Artes Escénicas (Centro de las Artes de San Luis Potosí/ Art Center of San Luis Potosi). The project will last 6 weeks and the first two are dedicated to share the knowledge of Flying Low and Passing Through - both techniques, developed by David Zambrano, are rarely trained in Mexico. We have a loooot of fun and the work was intense! Still second week ahead... 

Coming Friday, 24th of April, there will be a public showing of the results of this workshop. Some ideas that are developed in this week are also a base for the process of creation that will started on the 27th April. Come to meet us!

MEXICO TOUR JUST STARTED!

I have arrived to Mexico on the 6th April. The first stop was Pachuca, a town 1 hour away from Mexico DF, well, depending of traffic. I was warmly received by Paco Duran, who has invited me to lead a week workshop for his company and guests at the Universidad Autónoma del Estado de Hidalgo: UAEH

We also visited the near by village, Real del Monte, where the Institute of the Arts of the UAEH is established. It offers education in dance (classical, folk, contemporary), music, sculpture and acting. The village was built for and by the English Miners, so the style of the architecture is British, but the colors and taste truly Mexican! The Campus is placed in old houses of the miners, now transformed into art studios. Very creative atmosphere and people!

The stay in Pachuca was very well organized and produced. I really appreciate and hope to be back! Malgorzata Haduch
